i long for the warmth of the days gone by...
and of lofts and lakeview penthouses
I would walk
lemme attempt to recall what happened over the past few days..hmm. tuesday was jam-packed with lectures. after that took a nice long walk with shan and shafa to the M&S at St Paul's Cathedral and then back to Bankside via the millenium bridge. had maggi mee for dinner! haha leeched it off huifang. I promise i will cook something nice for you next time! Tuesday was also the day of the Bhangra run! Consists of a procession walking through the campus dancing Bhangra at the same time.
wednesday was the first history class! Anyway the class discussion was dominated by an American, German and a Ukranian. They are quite pro. I must read more stuff so i not only offer points, but do it faster then them! Finally got my locker! On the 3rd floor of the Old Building. Tucked away in a corner where you have to squeeze into a small corner to open the door. Haha that's why no one in their right mind (except me) would want it! After that was netball tryouts but it rained, so we played in the rain. Played centre cos i thought it would be easier. Think the gamble payed off cos i made it into the 5th team. But they thought i was a basketball player though. Haha now i must sneakily try to convert back into a defender. anyway after that was Singsoc elections. Fortunately you only needed to vote once for each position unlike the Student Council elections that crazily stretch till midnight. Lingli was voted pres. Congrats Lingli! Haha didn't run for anything cos i thought i'd focus purely on sports and for once and stop and smell the flowers. The night was crazy. Stupid games, two bottles of baileys and vodka with sprite. Huifang had red patches all over her legs. Haha not very sexy ah? Fortunately I was still quite sober and could still send her back to her room (i think i did!) and come back and read my course texts. Anyway find it damn funny that fabian likes to use "Hip hop gansta shit" to refer to Hip hop music, among other things.
Thursday was spent in the library, reading. I took close to 3 hours just doing one reading! That shows how rustly my brain is. Anyway realised that bringing a laptop down will speed things up, although i will have to lug the whole thing down to the library. And, the LSE library can be used as a fitness centre, especially if you intend to go to and from the course collection via the gigantic spiral staircase. think of the new RJ library but 4 times wider and 5 storeys of it. After that went for netball. training was in Brixton, a rather dodgy part of London. Didn't think so until we witnessed a fight on a bus while waiting for a bus back to Bankside. The netballers are damn funny, they always have all these stories of the crazy things that happen to them when they're drunk. And for some wierd reason, training is on Thursday nights when AU night is on wednesday. So thursday is always spent getting over the hangovers and no one has much energy for training. haha. promised to meet two netball-banksiders for drinks after we got back to the hall. But when i went down, they were nowhere in sight! Either they didn't go down, or i can't recognize them! All the ang mohs look the same to me. Anyway ended up spending 2 pounds on a smirnoff. money is flying away.... }${
haha have discovered the wonders of i tunes! Can leech music off people in bankside with cool music while offering my paltry and sad music collection. haha so sneaky.
