i long for the warmth of the days gone by...
and of lofts and lakeview penthouses
I would walk
I would walk
I would walk
It was freezing at night! My gosh, our breath was condensing as we were playing netball. And it wasn't the mild kind. We were seriously "smoking". Anyway, suicide runs and marking someone who executes perfect dodges and double dodges in -2 degrees weather isn't fun. My hand hurts now. thought it was frostbite from the past 2 days of playing outdoors but now there's a little lump there.... hmmm.. i think something's wrong with my vein. Clogged? haha. CALL THE PLUMBER! Anyway i was playing in 3 layers of clothes and i walked back in four. actually i didn't exactly walk. I took a bus halfway. (For the first time in puee's post-training history). Accidentally found my RJ sweater in my cupboard today, and i decided to bring it along (thankfully). Haha it isn't fashionable but who cares? school shirts are always the way to go when you have no fashion sense.
Tmr is last school day of the week! yay...
And i couldn't find a place to study at my favourite library spot today! *horror of horrors*. Anyway, some people should seriously stop pulling chairs away so they can do homework with their friends. Its supposed to be a self study cubicle, so please if you want to discuss your bloody econs or math homework, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! argh. okay i'm being very grumpy now. must be the lack of sleep. and the work. Tried to explain to my dad that homework never really ends... that's why he should stop asking "Still haven't finished homework?". Well, the incoming pile is always larger than the outgoing pile. So therefore in the long run there will never be an end to homework and therefore unless a homework-doing machine or some electronic book-to-brain usb cable ends up underneath the christmas tree this year, there will be no christmas.
Songs of the day:
Duan Le De Xuan - Jay Chou
Strange and Beautiful - Aqualung
I am thinking of: What i should do tomorrow! And, watching season 3 of the OC!

Anyway it was freezing cold today. Queued up at the ATM outside school and i was freezing till my knees hurt. (yeah maybe early onset rheumatism?. highly possible). Anyway during the match i suddenly realised that my arms were numb. Actually its quite a good idea to play while feeling numb cos you won't hurt when people crash into you! hahahaha. anyway it was much warmer at night and i did my routine walk back to bankside from waterloo. I realised that if someone was really interested in mugging me, they will realise that i walk down southbank every wednesday and thursday. Then again, what would i give them? My watch, my scarf (precious to me but shitty to anyone else), my clothes, an empty water bottle, and 3 political theory books (janet coleman btw. :P) . haha. yeah and ten pounds and a whole lot of useless cards. Hahaha. Muggers beware - i am not mug-worthy. Ah, anyway there are tons of mug-worthy couples there so the chance of their bags being stolen while they make out is higher than the chance of poor old me being mugged.
Southbank was so pretty today! Especially the place between the national theatre and oxo tower where they have blue and white lights on the trees.. :) Took a really slow walk and took some pictures. haha can't be bothered to upload them. And the homeless man at blackfriars bridge now has a puppy on top of his doggie buddy. So sweet.. if i were homeless i would want a loyal dog too.. Hmm, miss the no. 27 dog and i hope he's being bathed regularly and scratched by new random people who walk by while i'm not there. I wonder if he'll remember me when i get back. Maybe i'll smell different. Haha just some food for thought. by the way you can identify people who are genetically related to you by smell. And parent-offspring conflict and conflict amongst siblings and cousins is PERFECTLY NORMAL according to what i've been studying. Dad is an EVOLUTIONARY ANOMALY. Hmm... second food for thought. Haha if anyone is interested in de-romanticising love you can come ask me over dinner sometime when i get back (haha you treat? :P)
my mp3 player died on me. :( need to repair it when i get back.
Songs of the day:
Be Mine - David Gray
Duan Le De Xuan - Jay Chou
I am thinking of: Fish and Co seafood platter, Crystal Jade Sze Chuan Hot and Spicy La Mian, Victoria Street Bak Chor Mee. Yum yum...

Yay! after spending the entire weekend on my IR presentation outline, my tutor emailed me back to say that its good! *yayayayay* Finally after struggling in IR for a few weeks i'm starting to get a hold of it.
Anyway the weekend was spent listening to jay chou and tao ze songs. English overload here.. haha the new album isn't that great.. Shan Hu Hai is a disaster! (the lara woman, whoever she is, kind of spoilt it. its quite obvious her voice is too soft and they had to make the music softer so you can hear her. #@!*). Okay okay, i shall be less harsh. but i think it would have been nicer if he sang it himself. Ended up liking the older songs like Gui Ji and Duan Le De Xuan instead. And the sad Tao Ze song for Anita Mui too. I need to bring all my cds over in January! And nice speakers too..heehee
Saturday was lord mayor's show! Climbed up and sat on top of a war memorial along victoria embankment to get a good view of the fireworks. Unfortunately i forgot to bring my camera, so lousy resolutioned pictures from my phone will suffice for now before i poach them off huifang.
I love sundays! Went for a 5 click jog with shafa past the royal festival hall, london aquarium (hello stranger!), big ben and westminster. And it was a sunny morning too! After that came back, slowly flipped through the morning papers while listening to more jay chou and random music, had lunch (diy pizzas) then started on work.. haha love sundays. And cos you live alone its peaceful and quiet and relaxing. At night we had steamboat! yum.. thanks to nat and jia ying who decided to organise it. And nat's chilli mix was amazing! *stomach growls* Sorry nat, the picture of you enthusiastically waving the veggies came out really blur. I wanted to put it up!
the streets near lse are cleared in the morning for the Lord Mayor's procession. Welcome the ornamented horses and the horsepoo!
fireworks! again! but who's complaining that it was twice in 2 weeks?! this time i made sure i wouldn't miss it
the view from victoria embankment at night!
basketball tmr! yay. Anyway other than making time for bball, i've been too busy to do anything other than netball and studying! something is disastrously wrong when you desperately need a winter coat but you decide that finishing your work is more important than going shopping. Anyway the christmas lightup at Debenhams is tmr(today) at bond street at 6pm. Hmm.. would really love to go soak up the atmosphere (as shafa puts its, i am a huge sentimentalist), but i think i'll head back to WORK. argh. have a st augustine presentation on friday. and IR presentation tmr (today). Anyway the light up will be by westlife so i guess it kind of kills half the fun. CHRISTMAS is coming! and i may be umpiring on wednesday so i'll have 20 pounds for christmas presents! When you're freezing cold and swamped with work i think the idea of christmas keeps you relatively happy and sane.
hmm. got back today and slept from 730pm to 1130pm. haha its 2 am now and i'm still reading st augustine. bball in 6 hours.
okay random crap
puee has not had krispy kremes for 4 weeks
the last time the fire alarm went off was 11th November
it will be -2 degrees on friday, ohno
