played queen mary's. had to travel all the way to zone 2 but it was quite fun. The first 2 quarters were close but after that we started to pull away. during the third quarter my feet were very uncomfortable. thought some sand had gotten into my shoes but turns out i had a huge blister on the ball of each foot. and the blisters had burst. shouldn't have taken my socks off the have a look. The entire fourth quarter i swear i could feel my skin squishing about in my shoes. Need new socks desperately. haha happily took a picture of my terribly blistered feet for sadistic pleasure.
anyway, the 5th netball team made it to the second last page of the beaver! haha. yep, and there's a funny picture included too. Anyhow after the match, in true british fashion, we went pub hunting. found a small local pub near the tube station. Turns out they were having a darts championship so there were sandwiches on the house. how coincidental. ha. didn't know how tipsy i was until i finally decided to get up to take the tube back. drinking on an empty stomach isn't such a good idea. on the way back we also passed this provision shop that was selling a huge jackfruit. had to tell everyone that it was called a jackfruit and that they probably shouldn't try it unless they were extremely adventurous. libby plotted to buy one and bring it to every match to distract our opponents with the smell. Someone else suggested using it in replacement of a carved pumpkin for halloween.
