i long for the warmth of the days gone by...
and of lofts and lakeview penthouses
I would walk
i haven't gone running for 2 weeks. No time, only sundays are possible running days. Hmm, should i run tmr? But i'm sick. And i have matches on wednesday and thursday. Argh. Growing increasingly unift and the weather is getting colder, adding to the inertia.
today is the 400th anniversary of Guy Fawke's attempt at blowing up the british parliament. woohoo! Anyway londoners celebrated by setting off fireworks in their backyards. We could hear them going off even when we were having dinner in the kitchen. Haha on the way up to my room i could hear loud "bangs" and the lift was also shaking (like it always does) so it felt like the lift cable was going to break and i would plunge 7 floors down.
Huishan and i have the worst luck in the world! we missed the fireworks at the tate modern (yes and we live just behind tate modern. #!?*). After we walked a distance from tate modern, resigned to our sad fate, more fireworks went off at the tate and we had to look at with a tree blocking half the view. haha. Nonetheless the south bank was packed with people, and there were people playing with sparklers so we managed to soak in the atmosphere without seeing anything much. :P After a few minutes of trying to catch fireworks while being blocked by countless buildings, and seeing fireworks via reflection off windows instead of the fireworks themselves (so sad right?), decided to go to my room to see the fireworks in south london from my window. It was quite cool.. Fireworks all over the horizon (cos the people living in the vicinity of bankside to us were too cheapo to buy fireworks). See, we can have lots of fun when you allow people to set of fireworks in their backyards.
Haha after that we ended up watching stupid videos off my laptop and came across a video with a miracle method of folding clothes! haha i laughed so much my throat hurt even more.
Anyhow, i think those people on planes flying past london tonight must have been so freaked out hearing all the loud explosions and seeing flashes of light through their plane windows. haha.
and, spent the afternoon reading at the sofas in the library! haha i'm not going to tell you where! *sticks tongue out*. its my new favourite secret hiding place.
oh yes, Aristotle is extremely OCD. He shall henceforth be named OCD-man. and flippy has gone soft after being soaked in nivea moisturising cream btw. flappy has been safely stored in my drawer for the next weird experiment.
