i long for the warmth of the days gone by...
and of lofts and lakeview penthouses
I would walk
argh. i miss batting, stealing bases, running bases, catching line drives, striking people out, catching fly balls, being in the sun, catching grounders, pitching, getting people out at bases, tagging runners, sliding, covering for infielders, running on the grass, doing crazy things like lying on the grass/rj "field aka sandpit", not caring less and throwing my PED keys on the grass and finding them later, the thrill of throwing a ball to home base from far outfield, crazy drills coach puts us through, hitting a home run, hitting a line drive, bunting the ball then chionging like siao to first base, trying to pick the ball up and then releasing it as fast as possible, the adrenalin rush when you take a lead and have to double back then feeling damn heng when you're still saved, diamond drill, machine batting, being dirty and muddy and not caring, miss the softballers, strangely miss getting taupok-ed on my birthday, haha i miss the platinum xs bat that everyone else hated but i love (why does everyone like first lady?)... ohno okay i should stop before i get really really depressed. argh *my glove lies sad and alone on the floor waiting to be used*
hmm, then again i know that netball and softball together with work will kill me. But if i could do both i'd be so happy. Hmm... *pondering a career change*
More songs!
Time after time - Eva Cassidy (yes, not the horrible radio version with that horrible voice)
Superman - Five for Fighting (thought it was a really good batch song for orientation)
I’m only a man in a silly red sheet
Digging for kryptonite on this one way street
Only a man in a funny red sheet
Looking for special things inside of me
