wow lets see.. exciting week. mj and val came over from the states and bunked in with me! was fun catching up with them! went exploringe.. basically feeling like a pro and bringing people around! haha. brought mj for clubbing at crush with the banksiders on friday to give her the clubbing (and legal drinking) experience, was quite funny cos she and i were probably one of the few who were sober then. but i have decided that i should go to crush more often to network cos its quite fun to meet up with teamates/classmates/friends there.
monday was at starbucks with them and i started chatting with an american lady in front of me in the queue and she bought me a hot chocolate! felt quite bad because she was so nice and i couldn't do anything to repay her for it other than continuing chatting with her and her family who were on holiday here, and recommending places to visit.
weather has warmed up quite a bit! soon we can start running in shorts again! yay. all this because rachel had a theory that places that you expose to much during winter grow fatter. haha. don't even know if its true but i ain't taking any chances!
AU ball was wednesday! was quite fun but now i'm broke! yes, that was one of the 2 exceptions to my lent resolution to not drink since i'd bought the ticket before i decided to do this and the drinks were included in the price anyway. started off going to a teamates place where we all got dressed and made up and then took a cab to the hotel. her place was so beautiful! ahhh! nonetheless i was more or less sober the whole night, dancing with people who were totally drunk and someone even stepped on my toe with her heels! ouch. lots of funny stuff, like people who would ask me if i was alright five times when i asked them if they were alright ("hey are you alright? /yeah i am, how bout you, are you alright pui?/yeah, i'm fine/no are you sure pui? are you alright?/yeah, i didn't drink that much./you sure? ... and it continues... ), people trying to matchmake you with drunk guys, someone pestering the DJ the entire night to play kylie minogue, and of course the usual drunken perverts. now everyone is still in the process of trying to recollect what happened that night and i am just happily filling in all the blanks for them. haha. but it was fun seeing everyone all made up.. a night of pretty faces and hot bodies (yeah i'm a closet pervert)
3 essays due next week! hopefully i can get an extension on two of them to hand them up before summer term. speaking of summer i have officially sang "summer of 69" at the top of my voice twice this week. haha one good thing about studying in the uk is that they love the song and so do i!
