hmm.. sudden revelation why i have no motivation to study. cos i don't really care
in jc studying was basically about proving a point. to show that i could do it when everyone said it couldn't be done.
now... i do well in exams because i'm forced to
hearing all the Ms going on and on about graduation ceremonies and asking if your parents are coming and yada yada yada...
what's the deal with university and graduation? to get some cert that said you are "extremely smart"? it doesn't translate into any indication of your work competence at all. once i get the graduation cert, i'll chuck it into the deep recesses of my cabinet and burn all the graduation pictures in goofy hats and robes that i'll probably not take but my parents force me to. won't even bother to tell them that there's a ceremony. hell, won't even stay for the ceremony. will just turn up at the door one day and say "hey mom, i'm back, lets get on with our lives. oh yar, if you want the cert, it will come in the mail, keep it if you want it."
but since i will have no money if i don't do well, i have no choice but join these deluded souls in the pursuit of something that means nothing.
