hmm.,. germany and austria was fun.. haha pictures will be up when i actually can be bothered to look through them
germany will be memorable for
1) hofbrahaus in munich (thanks to dad for insisting to go)
2) crazy soccer fans (german, costa rican, croatian, topless etc)
3) as a dear friend says it, "beer! beer!"
4) bratwurst! yum
5) very very hot weather in berlin and my third sunburn in my entire life despite my lifestyle(haha yes first one was during p5 camp in primary school and second was after handball in rj long after softball season ended)
6) meeting quanyao, xizhen and jialin in munich. extremely lucky because meeting jialin was a double coincidence. then meeting sya, tracy and manda in vienna
7) "breaking in" into the fan park at munich
8) being cheated a whole 40 euros at a funfair
9) soccer over beers and radlers
10) the amazing viennese architecture
11) interesting gossip haha
12) hearing "kana" from andre over a hundred times
13) how you have to tip when you use the loo
14) arguments over the exact rules of speed
15) cold war history in berlin
16) WWII history
17) eating more italian food than german food
18) not liking sauerkraut one bit
anyway just finished an entire day of packing up my room. quite sad actually, cos i like this room a lot. guess it was the first room that actually felt like it was truly mine, where i chose how it looked and what was to be put inside. and it gave a serenity you could never get in communal living. oh well, singapore is still home. and family and friends need me as much as i need them. it will be a bittersweet homecoming i guess, because of the reasons why i'm rushing back this time, and i have no idea how i will feel when i touch down, since familiar sights and places play strange games with your emotions. i just hope i don't embarrass myself at changi.
